Fees and Funding

The programme appears fully funded for accepted candidates: PhD students receive an employment contract for 3 years with social benefits. Remuneration based on TVL-13, 65% (gross monthly salary approx. EUR 3,009 in the first year) or equivalent Max Planck Society support contract. University of Cologne does not charge tuition; mandatory social contribution fee around EUR 250 per semester.
