  • While it's impossible to give an exact number, you might be looking at an acceptance rate in the low 20s or even mid to high teens for the Computer Science major at UC Irvine. Don't get discouraged by that increased selectivity, though!

If you are a CSE major, and still want to attend our program, you can only take courses under Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) of School of Engineering. However, you will have the option to apply to ICS for your graduate program.
