Accepted fields include Computer Science (theoretical computer science), Computer Science (methodological-practical computer science), Computer Science (technical computer science), Analytics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Management systems and information management, Data Science, Distributed Systems, Programming Languages and Compiler Technology, High-Performance Computing, Closely related fields with focus on at least one BIFOLD core area.

At least 3 / 4 undergraduate GPA is expected.

Fees and Funding

No tuition fees apply. Students must pay a semester fee (~EUR 329.09 per semester). TU Berlin general application fee noted as EUR 75 (confirm with BIFOLD). The BIFOLD Graduate School offers 10 fully-funded PhD positions (TV-L E13) starting each year; positions are fully funded with competitive salary for four years.
