- The structured PhD is typically completed over 4 years full-time or 6 years part-time. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits in taught modules: 15 credits in transferable skills and 15 in subject-specific modules. The programme combines independent research with integrated taught support and culminates in a substantial, original thesis suitable for peer-reviewed publication.
- Applicants must hold a recognised primary degree equivalent to an Irish university degree, typically at least a 2:1 honours in psychology or a related field. International degrees must meet the minimum standards set by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or be accredited in the country of origin. English language proficiency is required for non-native speakers.
