There is no application fee and no tuition fees for doctoral students. Students must pay a semester fee of about EUR 310 per semester to retain student status at the University of Cologne. PhD positions are fully funded for 3 years (with possible extension) and funding is provided according to TVöD/TV-L 13 (65% position).
