Fees and Funding
All PhD students receive an employment contract including social benefits for 3 years, with remuneration based on TVL-E13 at 65% (gross monthly salary approx. EUR 3,009 in the first year) or an equivalent Max Planck Society Promotionsfördervertrag. Health insurance and 30 days vacation are provided. There are no tuition fees; a social contribution of about EUR 335 per semester applies (includes Deutschlandticket).
