Fees and Funding
No application fee and no tuition fees. PhD students are employed and fully funded with gross monthly salaries (2026) ranging from EUR 3,053 to EUR 3,673 paid 14 times per year. Students receive 5-year employment contracts (funding until thesis defense for those making reasonable progress). ISTA cannot provide funding for visa and relocation expenses. Additional support available for conference travel.
