Fees and Funding

There are no tuition fees for the doctoral programme. Students pay a semester fee of approximately EUR 300 per semester. The Hertie PhD stipend provides EUR 1,450 per month plus up to EUR 200 monthly health insurance contribution. The school does not admit self-funded PhD candidates; successful candidates must be fully funded.
